ATTENTION:

ATOMIC CITY ROAD RUNNERS CLUB MEMBERS/PARTICIPANTS:

The next pace race is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24th,2022 at 6:00 PM starting at Firefighter's Park which is located at the corner of Arizona Avenue and 45th Street in Los Alamos. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available.

Depending on what happens considering if the County lifts the Stage 3 Fire Restrictions by this coming Tuesday the 3 mile course will be an all paved course if the Restrictions are still in place and a hybrid course (trail and paved) if the Restrictions are lifted since the Restrictions do not allow dirt trails to be utilized. The 1 mile course is a paved course either way.

***

ATTENTION:

ATOMIC CITY ROAD RUNNERS CLUB MEMBERS/PARTICIPANTS:

After some discussion with potential race directors and based on the consideration that the Stage 3 Fire Restrictions for both Los Alamos County and The National Forest will remain in effect until sometime the middle of next week it was decided that the Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 pace race will be CANCELED. It looks promising after that period that Restrictions will be lifted due to the potential downturn of the Fire and it will be easier to plan a race whether trail, road or hybrid for the Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 race.

An E-mail will be issued the middle of next week.

Thanks for your patience.

Atomic City Road Runners Club

ATTENTION:

ATOMIC CITY ROAD RUNNERS MEMBERS/PARTICIPANTS:

Per the "keyable link" below Los Alamos County is going to Stage 3 Fire Restrictions meaning that all trails except the ones excepted as stated are off limits to persons. After speaking with the County Fire Marshal she stated that this restriction order may last only to the middle to end of next week depending on how the Jemez Fire conditions are. Also our pace race for this upcoming Tuesday, May 10th on the Canada Bonito Trail is actually in the National Forest; however, she also informed me that the Forest Service is also going to a Stage 3 Fire Restriction in another day or two so based on all the updated information the Club will CANCEL the race for this Tuesday, May 10th.

Another E-mail will be sent out regarding the Tuesday, May 17th race. There are possibilities that we can run on the street for that date if trails are still closed but we may be able to do a trail run depending how the situation evolves in the next week and a half.

We'll keep you abreast in the next upcoming week.
